About Me (Bio)
professional career
My career as professional photographer in Venice Italy:
- 2006: When it all started as a professional. I’ve got the membership of the National Association of Professional Photographers.
- 2006-2008: During this time I’ve been a photographer of the main Venetian newspaper: Il Gazzettino.
- 2009-2010: I’d been providing photo shoots for some magazines {Dove by RCS, Slow Food International, Gambero Rosso} and also for an advertising agency {Ideazione Adv}.
- 2011-today: Since then I’ve been providing private photo shoots and photography workshops during tours in Venice. I’m an independent photographer. It means that I manage and take care of any aspect of the job (marketing, booking, shooting and delivering) without any intermediary agency or online company.
Little bit more about me as Venice photographer.
Well, photography and art have always been my passion and I love walking. So becoming a photographer in Venice was probably destiny.
As mentioned above, I became a professional photographer in 2006. And since 2011 I have been providing photo shoots and private photography workshops in Venice, during private tours.
I no longer provide photography sessions for wedding ceremonies. And this probably makes me different from all the other photographers in Venice, and even in Italy.
main feature
Probably my main feature as photographer is a synergic balance of professionalism, creativity and enthusiasm. In fact, there is a silent mantra that I keep saying to myself: be professional, creative and friendly, always!
About the photo shoots people tell me that I’m good at making them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Well, probably it’s a natural skill of mine and for sure it’s important for a photographer, especially if you provide portrait photography.
Instead, for the photography workshops, I can say that I love teaching technique and creativity. Letting people to improve their photography skills. And all this happens during a pleasant walk, wandering around in Venice.
recently
Recently the competition in Venice is very high. There are literally hundreds photographers providing photography in Venice. Many of them work for online international companies. Many are not even professional photographers. This situation is obviously very challenging and also exciting.
Looks like every day there are new photographers working in Venice. For this reason the secret to survive and success is keep learning and improving yourself. Always providing high quality and still enjoying on doing your job.
What else to say about being a photographer in Venice? Oh yeah, let me end with a sort of joke. I love this job so much, I could do it for free (in a world without money).
my mantra
Be professional, creative and friendly, always!
